Project Open Source from twitter

Among developers now seem increasingly spoiled by online media. This is good news because getting the container to experiment would have led to the birth of products will open a new source.

Support the development of open source, now the Twitter contribute its own share which recently reported recently launched online directory that can accommodate open source project from the developers. The project is a good open source is doing or has been completed and to be divided by the developers.

From the list provided in this directory was quite impressive. There are many open source projects with the programming language Ruby, Scala, Java, C / C + + and various free tools provided here. Some of them are Cassandra, a network storage that P2P-based Facebook had been around for years past 2008. There is also a Murder, which is an open source project that uses bittorrent. At the bottom of the open source project is a short description and a Twitter icon that can connect you with the Twitter service.

Viewed from the pages directory, is written that the Twitter love open-source products. For one thing, Twitter itself is built using open source applications. So to say this project itself is a contribution from Twitter to the open source developers.

Robot that serves as assistant to the astronauts

Working as an astronaut in space is not easy. A much different environment sometimes makes it difficult to adapt them. May be very helpful at all if the astronauts have an assistant who can work hard but apart from the human assistant is a robot.

The experts at the American space agency, is currently working with scientists from General Motors, announced the development of Robonauts, robot helper suited to help the astronauts working in space stations. This new robot prototype suitable for a variety of heavy duty, which is still difficult to be done by humans. This robot can complete tasks that are difficult and complicated in space, such as improving the telescope, or make repairs on the International Space Station (ISS). The machines were specially designed so that they can perform tasks that require skill and strength.

Robonaut is a new version 2 and better than the first generation. This robot was developed by NASA and the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) is more than a decade ago. But the latest version of the much more powerful, more accurately, and far more skilled than the previous model. Ron Diftler revealed that engineers from Houston, Texas-based Oceaneering Space Systems is also involved in this work.

One thing that really stands out about the new machines is the fact that they have four joint thumb, the first prototype only has three fingers only, which means that the new prototype can be more skilled and precise work. "The thumb clearly played an important, make us the dominant species on this planet. Also more flexible when using gloves in space. "NASA scientists said. It also can lift the load in excess of 10 pounds and moving at a speed of 4.5 miles per hour.

"We put more sensors in both arms and the network, so if it comes in contact with the astronauts in unexpected ways, can be stopped at the same time," said Diftler. He added that this is done in order to make robots safe for human interaction. The machine is also covered with a soft cloth, whose main goal is to cushion and to prevent the destruction of space costume. Some of the main mission R2 will need to do is to be able to change the thermal blanket on the object in space and also carry the tools around him. At this point, this task is very complicated to do the astronauts and spent a long time.

Sony Develop PlayStation Phone For compete with Apple

Your game lovers? Of course it would be better if you could bring gaming machine anywhere and anytime. Seems to be easier if the game engine concept embodied in the form of a simple phone bagged and often we take it anywhere.

In the near future, Sony will develop a new smartphone device capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games as well. A brilliant idea indeed, but clearly it appears no different to combat the rampant that Apple continues External rapidly in the mobile gaming market today.

Smartphones are the future (together with the second alo multimedia device which is still in development) will be connected to online gaming and media platform owned by Sony, which will be presented at the American end of this month.

Sony Online Service will offer much the same content offered by Apple's iTunes Music Store, but Sony believes that it can be distinguished by allowing the various devices (not just the phone) to access the games catalog. Sony said the games there, mostly old games include a game that is compatible with the original PlayStation.

Sony to work more actively with Sony Ericsson to develop a handset, which is expected to begin later this year. Sony has indicated that the smartphone will play a more strategic role in the future. Unfortunately, details about the smartphone, such as price and features so far not been disclosed
